Xerces Society is a nonprofit that avidly works towards the conservation of invertebrates. This includes many, many insects. Truth of the matter is, insects are vital to our ecosystems. Without them, we may not have the nutrient rich soil it takes to grow food, along with many other defects in our environment. This campaign works to show that insects are valuable and should not be overlooked. So, think twice next time you go to swat a bug.
